This Italian forest honey honey is produced by bees using honeydew, a sweet substance secreted by small insects. It is harvested at the end of summer and is characterized by a slightly less sweet taste than nectar honey. Very dark in colour, it is richest in minerals, vitamins and trace elements, including iron.

In the kitchen it can be combined with aged cheeses or added to yoghurt and muesli.
